The "Dior's Gold" exhibition will be held at the Beijing Guardian Art Center from September 2 to 29, 2024. The exhibition will use "gold", a classic color element throughout the history of the Dior brand, to show its symbolic power and extraordinary charm through a new scene narrative.

The exhibition presents masterpieces from haute couture to fragrance series, fully demonstrating Dior's craftsmanship and creativity that have been adhered to for more than 70 years. Through fascinating space design and art treasures created by Chinese and foreign artists, the exhibition brings visitors a wonderful sensory journey.
Gold, a precious metal, has been a source of fascination for the world since ancient times. Gold is the raw material for making various jewelry and utensils, and is also used to decorate the magnificent palaces and people's clothing and appearance, and then became a symbol of power. Dior J'adore perfume seems to have incorporated this power into the bottle, transforming it into an enchanting olfactory feast. Here is presented the large-scale installation art work "Luminous Body" by Chinese artist Liu Jianhua, whose creative inspiration comes from J'adore perfume, a shining pearl in the olfactory world.
The work displays thousands of gilded ceramic perfume bottles, which are carefully hung like a golden rain. They not only carry the essence of China's centuries-old traditional craftsmanship, but also seem to be given life, lightly suspended in the air, forming a picture full of poetry and fantasy. Liu Jianhua believes that this work is not only a deep tribute to the art of conical vessels, but also a deeper interpretation of the beauty of "hard outside and soft inside". In the interweaving of light and shadow, the ceramic perfume bottles show a magical layer beyond reality, which is both within reach and seems beyond reach, which arouses endless reverie.
The work "Steps" created by Chinese artist Lin Tianmiao cleverly combines the tools used by workshop craftsmen with human body parts, integrating the tools with the people who use them, creating a dream scene that is both concrete and surreal. These illusory objects are wrapped in golden ribbons, as if given life, forming a soul dialogue between the tools and the craftsmen, showing the eternal spirit and immortal value of skill inheritance.
An important section of the exhibition is "Mr. Christian Dior's Gallery", tells the story of Mr. Dior and art. Christian Dior showed his passion for artistic creation since he was a child. His artistic dream was to become an architect at first, then run a gallery and became a keen art collector.Dior had close contacts with many celebrities in the art field, including painters, poets, directors and dancers. He recalled:If you ask me how I met them, I would answer that it was by chance that we met., as Goethe said, we attract one another… I share similar interests with these painters, writers, musicians and designers, and we have met and formed a deep friendship through Jean Cocteau and Max Jacob. "
Dior had a broad artistic vision and incorporated his passion for art into every piece of clothing he created when he founded the House of Dior in 1946. The House of Dior celebrates the beauty of gold with a series of unique creations inspired by Dior’s passion for art.
In this exhibition, personally selected works by Chinese artists Ai Jing, Hong Hao, Ma Qiusha and Shen Wei will be exhibited together with gold-themed works by internationally renowned art masters such as Olga de Amaral, Marina Abramović, Georg Baselitz, Camille Henrot and Bertrand Ravel.
