Li Heidi's "Summer Always Comes and Goes; I Watch the Morning Light Slowly Grow Old" was estimated at HKD 700,000-1,000,000 and sold for HKD 2,100,000.Sold for HKD 2,667,000 including commission, setting a new personal auction record(Breaking the record of HKD 1,397,000 held by Sotheby’s Hong Kong’s “Fire of Love on Dead Ice” on March 29, 2025).

About the Artist
Li Heidi was born in Shenyang, China in 1997. He studied at Maryland Institute College of Art in the United States. In 2020, he received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Chelsea College of Arts, University of the Arts London, and in 2022, he received a Master of Painting degree from the Royal College of Art, London.
Integrating his own personal growth and emotional experiences, Li Heidi has developed an ambiguous and unique painting symbolic language. These paintings are often located at the intersection of popular film culture, gender performance and still life tradition.
In his diverse and highly expressive sculptures, installations, and performances, the artist continues to explore the diversity of his own internal gender and bodily experiences, challenging heterosexual hegemony while hinting at the instinct, authenticity, and freedom of pure desire.
