About the artist
A Japanese painter, born in Yaizu, Shizuoka Prefecture, and a graduate of Musashino Art University. His works mostly feature surreal imagery that blends everyday objects such as cars, trains, living rooms, offices, and bathrooms, creating a unified "human + object" whole. He may be using these easily understood metaphors to satirize himself and the anxieties and unease hidden in daily life in modern society.
