Starting from October 15, 2024, Wuhan will enter the craze of the Contemporary Art Exhibition Week. During this week, many top solo exhibitions of Chinese contemporary art will be gathered, and the 16th International College Student Art Fair, which focuses on youth art, will also be presented brilliantly. During this period, well-known art institutions in Wuhan such as the Hubei Art Museum, the United Art Museum, and the Fine Arts Literature and Art Center will launch a series of important exhibition opening activities, providing a unique stage for the creation and appreciation of contemporary art across the country.

@Wuhan 2024-Meng Luding in 1975.1990.2006.2024

As an important part of @Wuhan2024, Hubei Art Museum will present the solo exhibition "1975·1990·2006·2024" by the famous artist Meng Luding. The exhibition is curated by the famous curator Cui Cancan, and Ji Shaofeng will serve as the academic director. It will last from October 15 to November 10, 2024.

The exhibition reviews Meng Luding's artistic journey from 1975 to the present by displaying his works from different periods. The exhibition is distributed in Halls 1, 2 and 3 of the Hubei Art Museum, presenting the audience with the complex temporality and artistic exploration behind his works.

Fu Zhongwang Documentary Exhibition (1974-2024)

Another highly anticipated exhibition is the "Fu Zhongwang Documentary Exhibition (1974-2024)", which will be held at the United Art Museum from October 17, 2024 to April 17, 2025. This exhibition is not only one of the key projects of "@Wuhan 2024", but also a parallel exhibition of the 2024 Wuhan Biennale, and also an important part of the series of exhibitions for the 10th anniversary of the establishment of the United Art Museum.
Curator Lu Hong and academic director Hu Ying will present the archives of Fu Zhongwang's fifty-year artistic career in a comprehensive manner in the form of documents, from artworks to personal life, showing how an artist constructs his unique artistic world in the intersection of history and life.

When Will You Return: Li Zhanyang

During this period, the Fine Arts Literature Art Center will also launch Li Zanyang's solo exhibition "When Will You Come Back?", which will be on view from September 28 to November 23, 2024. Following the "Feng Yue: Li Zanyang" launched by the center in 2018, this exhibition is curated by Ji Cong and academically hosted by Sun Zhenhua, and comprehensively presents Li Zanyang's recent graphic works, sculpture installations and documentary materials. Through the interlaced narrative of plane and three-dimensional space, the exhibition explores the artist's exploration of the form of scene creation, reveals his running-in and reconstruction between the self and the real world, and provides viewers with a more multi-dimensional understanding perspective.

The 16th International College Student Art Fair

The 2024 "16th International College Student Art Fair" will be held at the Wuhan International Convention and Exhibition Center from October 19 to October 27, 2024.
