UBS is the global lead partner of Art Basel. The Baselworld trade fair will be held from June 18 to 21, with VIP preview days on June 16 and 17.

The international art community will gather in Basel to participate in exhibitions, exchanges, and cultural activities spanning the city and surrounding areas, creating a week-long art extravaganza.

This year's fair once again confirms Basel's unique position as a global art market trendsetter: it is the best window to view the global art landscape, from historical classics to the most cutting-edge contemporary creations and digital practices.

Premiere, now in its second year, has expanded to 17 exhibition projects, further demonstrating the fair's ability to present large-scale new works and museum-quality projects created in the last five years.

The winners of the inaugural Art Basel Awards' "Established Artist" category will present two major public commissions in Basel: Nairy Baghramian's new work will be displayed in Messeplatz, while Ibrahim Mahama's new work will be showcased in Münsterplatz.

This year, galleries from Côte d'Ivoire, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, and Turkey made their debut at Art Basel, further expanding the fair's international reach. The fair brought together a diverse lineup of galleries spanning classical, modern, post-war, contemporary, and emerging practices, fostering a dialogue and exchange between different generations, regions, and artistic languages within a unified exhibition context, comprehensively showcasing the current landscape of the global art scene.

Art Basel Director

“During this week, Basel will become a central hub for the global art world – a blend of historical heritage and bold innovation that resonates between the galleries and throughout the city. From significant new public commissions by Nairy Baghramian and Ibrahim Mahama, to Ruba Katrib’s debut as curator of the Unlimited section, and the expansion of the Premiere section, this year’s fair showcases both the enduring strength of the art world and an exciting future direction, further solidifying Basel’s position as a bellwether for the global art market. I look forward to welcoming art professionals from around the world back to Basel.”
Other highlights include Ruba Katrib's debut curatorial work in the "Unlimited" section, and a fresh curatorial concept for the "Parcours" section in 2026. Additionally, the "Feature" and "Statements" sections will present compelling exhibitions spanning historical classics and emerging artistic practices.

Art Basel will once again ignite the city's passion for art, with events spanning Messe Basel, public spaces, and leading art institutions, creating a week-long art extravaganza in Basel and the surrounding area through a rich variety of exhibitions and cultural activities.
