[2024 Autumn Auction] Christie’s New Asia Pacific Headquarters Auction Preview September 3-4 in Beijing September 7-8 in Shanghai
Christie’s new Asia Pacific headquarters will open in September at The Henderson, a landmark building in Central. On September 26 and 27, it will present a special auction of the legendary Hong Kong collector Au Bailing’s collection of Chinese porcelain and a series of auctions from the 20th and 21st centuries.A selection of 20th and 21st century art masterpieces and exquisite porcelain from the collection of Au Bailing will be held in Beijing on September 3 and 4.It then came to Shanghai for a preview on September 7 and 8.
20th and 21st Century Auctions Feature Masterpieces of Modern and Post-War Art, Contemporary Artists and Emerging Art Stars from Around the World, including Claude Monet's important masterpiece "Nymphéas" created 125 years ago, which is being auctioned for the first time; Vincent van Gogh's "Les canots amarrés", a masterpiece from the royal collection and is expected to break the artist's auction record in Asia; René Magritte's vibrant and magical work "La Préméditation", the father of Surrealism; Sanyu's rare 1930 painting "Nude in White with Bent Knees"; and Zao Wou-Ki's rare masterpiece "05.06.80 - Triptych".
Christie’s Hong Kong launches single-owner auction of “The Au Bailing Collection: First Sale”, solemnly presenting the rare porcelains from the Song, Yuan, Ming, Qing and Republic of China periods carefully collected by the highly respected Hong Kong collector Mr. Au Bailing over decades, fully demonstrating the diversity and profound connotation of Mr. Au Bailing’s collection and highlighting his unique collecting style.
