Breaking News | The 5th General Meeting of the Beijing Gallery Association was held in the 798 Art District. Dong Mengyang was appointed as the new chairman. Five galleries, including Bonian, Yiguan, and Xieli, joined the association.
The first meeting of the Fifth General Assembly of the Beijing Gallery Association was held on the afternoon of July 23, 2026, in the 798 Art District of Beijing.
The conference was chaired by Chi Gang, the association's secretary-general. It reviewed and approved the work report and financial report of the fourth council, the report of the fourth board of supervisors, and the revision of the articles of association. In accordance with the articles of association of the Beijing Gallery Association and the relevant regulations of the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Civil Affairs, the conference elected the directors and supervisors of the fifth Beijing Gallery Association. The first meeting of the fifth council elected the new chairman and vice-chairmen and approved the appointment of the secretary-general and deputy secretary-general.
Dong Mengyang has been appointed as the new chairman of the Beijing Gallery Association.
The council also approved the addition of five new galleries to the association: Xie Li Gallery, Keyi Gallery, Bonian Art Space, Yi Guan Space, and San Shi Space.The association now has a total of 63 members.
The Beijing Gallery Association was officially established on October 25, 2011, with the approval of the former Beijing Municipal Bureau of Culture and formal registration (Social Security Certificate No. 0011652) by the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Civil Affairs. It is an industry-based, academic, and non-profit social organization voluntarily formed by galleries and primary art market service institutions in the Beijing area. It is currently the largest and most influential gallery industry association in China.
Under the leadership of its new administration, the Beijing Gallery Association will continue to play its role as an industry organization and provide services. While strengthening industry exchanges and safeguarding industry interests, it will further integrate resources, unite more positive forces to participate in cooperation, enhance the industry's influence and voice, and jointly build a primary market trading platform and service system for art.
