Exhibition | Beijing Thoughts - Chen Yuanzhang's solo exhibition opens in Beijing 798 Art District
On October 25, 2024, HANMO Art Center in Beijing's 798 Art District welcomed "Beijing Thoughts" - a solo exhibition by young artist Chen Yuanzhang, curated by Gong Yu. The exhibition displays 33 paintings by Chen Yuanzhang, all of which are his latest creations after he moved his studio to Beijing. The exhibition will last until November 3, 2024.
Artist Chen Yuanzhang was born in Huizhou in 1998. His studio "Source Cave" witnessed his immersion in the art of painting, creating nearly a thousand works, mostly depicting the various forms of life, and gradually comprehending the profound meaning of brush and ink. In 2022, he went to Beijing with his teacher and friend Lan Yun to jointly run "Lazy Source". Although he is not good at socializing, under the influence of many good teachers and friends, his vision and mind have been further broadened.

Chen Yuanzhang's artistic path is firm and persistent. He holds his pen like a cane, constantly moving forward and climbing, chasing his artistic dream. His exhibition experience includes the 2023 Lanyun Yuanzhang double exhibition "Mountains Beyond Mountains, People in the World", and the 2024 "Tanhua" and "A Glimpse of China" art joint exhibitions, until this "Shock-Beijing Thoughts" solo exhibition.

In the curatorial preface to "Shock: Beijing Thoughts", Gong Yu succinctly summarized Chen Yuanzhang's three-year artistic journey in Beijing with the word "shock". This word "shock" combines the three emotions of surprise, panic and surprise.
